Week-end With Sisters!

I had the pleasure of having two of my four sisters with me this week-end actually the youngest and the oldest.  We have really had a lot of fun!  We have spent our time mostly goofing off and relaxing.  They both love to knit, so we decided to get up on Sat. morning and go to a small yarn shop in Arkadelphia, about 50 miles away.  They had a lot of fun looking, touching, oohing and awing over all the yarn.(Not something that I would do... unless of course it was a cross stitch shop!)  My youngest sister is trying to save up the money for a plane ticket to Germany to see her first grandbaby after he is born.  Well I don't know about where you are, but the hottest thing here now is the knitted Sashay scarves.  We decided to take orders for her to sell them and save for her ticket.  So far I think I have  sold about 12 for her.  The sisters have busy knitting scarves the rest of the week-end. Here are a few of the ones they have done so far.

Tomorrow my sister will be taking the train back to Houston and I will be headed back to work.  So for the rest of the day we are gonna just enjoy ourselves and have a good time! Until next time friend take care and happy knitting stitching!

My Snowman Wall

I decided to make one of my walls for winter a snowman wall. I already have 3 framed and thought I would sew one a year until my wall is full.  So here are the pictures I have framed and also the one I finished for this year.
This snowman is the one I did in 2006 from the book Frosty Friends.

This next snowman is one I did when my sister and I went to Ohio, I believe in 2009.
The last one I have framed is one I did in 2011.
Finally the one for this year is call Warm Winter Wishes by Waxing Moon Designs.  Its not framed yet, but maybe before next winter it will be on the wall with the rest of them.  I am currently working on Falling Leaves by Prairie Grove Peddler.  I will post a picture of it when I am finished.
Until next time friends, take care and happy stitching!

A New Finish for Me!

Well I finished my sampler that I started the last of January.  I finished it on Feb. 6, but am just now finding time to write in my blog.  I will get it in the mail Thursday to go to the frame shop Coastal Breeze Art and Framing in Gulfport Ms.  A lady by the name of Kathy Johnson is the one that does the framing.  She does a fantastic job.  I will post a picture of it framed when I get it back.
I also finished two crosses.  The patter is called Fleur de Lys Easter, by scissorTail Designs.  It was stitch on 14 count aida with DMC #111.

Until next time friends take care and happy stitching!!

My Next Project

I guess I still have a few things to figure out on here, but maybe someday I will be able to do this with my eyes closed!!
I ordered the threads for my next project a few days ago and they were in my mailbox this afternoon.  I plan on stitching Remembrance by Midsummer Night Designs.  I am doing it in the threads the pattern calls for.  There will be a few changes in it.  I am doing this in Remembrance of my husband, so on the left hand side where the letters and date is, I am just putting 1950, and on the right hand side I will put 2000.  On the bottom I will center his name.  I hope it comes out like I plan! So here is a picture of the pattern and fabric and threads.

Until next time friends, take care and happy stitching!!!

Welcome to my life!

Well I finally decided to start my own blog!  I have wanted to start one for quite awhile so I could keep up with my cross stitching.  So for most people this will be a boring place to stop!  I want to keep up with my projects and take pic of my progress etc.  This is a picture of the biggest project that I have done.  It is called Santa of the Forest and is by Lavender and Lace.  It was framed by a lady in Mississippi that no longer has a shop.

Until next time friends, take care and happy stitching!!!!
